Introduction
The English to Punjabi translation system is a web based application which has been designed and developed, using the thin client architecture in which the translation process happens at both client side and server side. This is an optimal solution for sharing translation-system resources.
To convert any language to any other language, we need two basic things:
We need a dictionary, which describes the mapping among the words. That will be stored in database alongwith its part of speech indication. A corpus is being developed for this.

We are simultaneously working on development of categorized database and conversion of adjectives, adverbs and phrasal verbs according to grammatical rules under different cases so that it can provide an accuracy of approximate 70%.
